The exit polls for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, conducted by various agencies, were released after 6:30 PM on June 1, following the conclusion of the final phase of voting. Key findings from different exit polls suggest the following outcomes:

1. NDA’s Performance: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is projected to win a significant majority. Estimates vary, with the range generally between 350 to 400 seats. News18’s Mega Exit Poll suggests the NDA securing around 388 seats, indicating strong performance across several states  .

2. Opposition Bloc (INDIA): The INDIA bloc, a coalition of opposition parties, is expected to secure around 100-120 seats. This reflects a challenging scenario for the opposition, which has struggled to significantly dent the NDA’s stronghold .

3. Regional Variations: Exit polls indicate substantial regional differences. For instance, in Tamil Nadu, the INDIA bloc is predicted to perform very well, potentially winning all 39 seats, while the NDA faces a tough battle in this state .

4. Other Parties: Smaller parties and independents are likely to win around 50-70 seats, playing potentially crucial roles in the formation of alliances post-election .

Overall, these exit polls suggest a comfortable majority for the NDA, with the BJP poised to lead the coalition to a significant victory. The official results, however, will be announced on June 4, 2024  .
