First Positive case of COVID-19 reported in Nagaland.

Three corona positive cases have been detected in Nagaland. Out of the three cases, two are from Dimapur and one is from Kohima.

Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio tweeted,

" Unfortunately 2 persons in Dimapur and 1 in Kohima have been tested positive for #COVID__19. Please do not panic. We need to handle it with utmost care and responsibility. Necessary action of contact tracing & containment measures are being taken and situation closely monitored."

Three persons who have returned from Chennai, two men and one woman have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Health minister informed that they are undergoing treatment at DHD (District Hospital Dimapur) and Chedema, Kohima respectively.

Health Minister, Shri S Pangnyu Phom tweeted,

" First positive case reported in Nagaland. Three returnees from Chennai (Sharamik Express) tested Positive for Covid-19. They are undergoing treatment at DHD and Chedema, Kohima respectively,  their condition is stable & all contact tracing are in progress."

This was announced by principal health secretary Menukhol John at a press conference in Kohima on Monday.
