In view of the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic, the commissioner of police and district magistrate of Dimapur has imposed Section 144 CrPC across the district from 6 am of April 1 to midnight of April 3.
The order was issued by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo, IPS.

Police, Army, Paramilitary forces, Magistrate on duty, Doctors and medical staff on duty, Media will be exempted from the purview of the restrictions.
Whereas, the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur has also passed an additional order stating that "all shops, commercial and private establishment shall remain closed" under the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

The commissioner of Police further added that, "The violation of the order will be liable for Punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code".
